Yerlanbek Zhussupov

Yerlanbek Zhussupov is one of the founders and Managing Partner of ZANGER Law Firm. Yerlanbek has participated in numerous working groups preparing draft laws for the government of Kazakhstan including “On Foreign Investments,” “On Oil”, “On External Economic Activities” and the draft law “On State Property”. He passed training in the largest British law firms as a lawyer. In 1994 Yerlanbek worked in the New York office of Chadbourne & Parke LLP.
Representative Work
- acted as an arbitrator in Kazakhstan International Arbitration proceedings;
- represented US, European and Asian clients investing in Kazakhstan;
- assisted International Financial Corporation with respect to financing of electro-energy production;
- advised the client from the United States of America regarding investments to the commercial production enterprise;
- advised foreign oil and gas companies with respect to the investments to joint ventures and development of oil fields;
- consulted the clients from the United Kingdom regarding construction of the modern tobacco factory and the factory producing packaging materials;
- represented a US energy company in privatization of the biggest power station.
